FAQs
How is Foundation different from PTA?

AESF and PTA raise money for different purposes. AESF’s focus is to provide educational enhancements for teachers and students. AESF provides teacher grants, supports the STEM lab and works with the administration to ascertain Addison’s goals. You should contact each organization or refer to their websites to understand the annual goals for each organization. Each organization needs your support to be successful!

Why should I care if Addison Elementary retains a Foundation each year?
Your child will likely attend a middle or high school with students who attended schools with successful Foundations that supported and enriched their educational experience. Addison Elementary students should likewise enter middle and high school having received additional academic experiences and enhancements.
How does AESF determine how the funds are spent each year?
The AESF Board works with the administration and STEM team to identify and prioritize goals. The collaboration results in a budget that is voted on each year.
How do I get involved?
There are various ways to get involved. You can contribute by donating directly to AESF, donating through the annual GATOR Dash fundraiser, volunteering by joining an AESF committee or helping at an AESF fundraiser.
