MisSion

Addison Elementary School Foundation (AESF) exists to provide enrichment experiences for Addison students and teachers. Funds raised are used to enhance social, artistic, scientific, athletic or educational experiences. AESF strives to provide enhancements to Addison’s curriculum, the STEM program, teacher and student learning opportunities and school-wide improvements.

VISION

AESF strives to accomplish its mission by working together with the school administration and staff, STEM team and STEM teacher to set goals for each academic year. AESF provides the financial assistance necessary to provide enrichments that benefit each student.

HISTORY

The Addison Elementary School Foundation (AESF) is an organization that was formed in 2008 in response to a growing need for funding additional academic enrichment activities at Addison Elementary. In February 2020, Addison became a Cobb County STEM-certified school.

The AESF Board collaborates with parents, staff, and administration to identify goals and prioritize the spending for each school year. In addition to the STEM Lab, funds raised also help to support school projects and activities such as teacher classroom grants, interactive student events, and school-wide improvement projects not covered by Cobb County. Without AESF there are very few options available to obtain funding for additional resources at our school.

The STEM Lab is celebrating its 15th year at Addison; it is well-loved by the school community and plays an important role in Addison’s curriculum. Your donation keeps the STEM program operating.
